Appia Expands Exec Team, Hires Tim Oakley as CFO

CED Member Appia, led by entrepreneur Jud Bowman, is expanding their executive team, today announcing the hiring of Tim Oakley as the company's new chief financial officer.

"I'm thrilled to have Tim on our team at Appia," said Bowman, founder and CEO, in a statement on the Appia website. "Tim played a key role in building two of the Triangle's most successful tech startups and we're excited to have his financial experience now here at Appia."

Oakley most recently served as the chief financial officer for iContact. During Oakley's tenure at iContact, the company grew from less than $1 million in annual revenue to more than $50 million in annual revenue in a six-year period. Oakley also helped in the transitional period after iContact was acquired by Vocus, Inc., for $169 million.

Prior to iContact, Oakley served as chief financial officer of CipherTrust, which was acquired by Secure Computing for $247 million.
