Brinks Patent Attorney Fox to Speak at ACI's Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Patent Life Cycles and Portfolio Strategies Conference



DURHAM, N.C. - Jennifer L. Fox, a patent attorney at intellectual property law firm Brinks Gilson & Lione, will speak at ACI's Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Patent Life Cycles and Portfolio Strategies conference, being held February 25-27, 2014, in New York.

Fox will moderate the panel discussion "Prometheus and Myriad: Questions of Natural Law and 101 Patentability and Their Implications for Life Sciences Innovation and the Future of Personalized Medicine," on February 26. Topics include the impact of this new jurisprudence on the future of diagnostic patents, the use of trade secrets as an alternative to intellectual property protection for diagnostics, and the implications of the Supreme Court's rulings on the future of personalized medicine and related provision under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

Jennifer Fox is of counsel in Brinks' Research Triangle Park, N.C. office, where she focuses her practice on counseling pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in patent and related transactional matters.
