Chimerix files for IPO

CED Member and CED Life Science Conference 2012 Presenting Company Chimerix, Inc. filed for an initial public offering (IPO) on Friday afternoon, according to a report filed with the SEC. 

According to the SEC filing, Chimerix intends to raise up to $85 million through the offering, and intends to apply to have its common stock listed on the NASDAQ under the symbol CMRX.

Morgan Stanley, Cowen and Company, and William Blair and Lazard Capital Markets are underwriters to the offering.
