Videos: Life Science Conference Chairs Woo Attendees

We thought you might have missed this: over the holidays, CED released videos from two of the Chairs of the CED Life Science Conference2014, “Healthcare in 2020.”

Kenneth I. Moch, CEO of Chimerix, states in his video  that “drug development is a team sport.”  He sees the Conference as a great way to bring to North Carolina the best people that the biotech industry has to offer. The conference is a way to demonstrate the strength of our entrepreneurial community, and he’s proud of the outstanding speakers – like Margaret Hamburg, Commissioner of the FDA – that will draw attendees from the southeast and beyond. Moch’s focus is on bringing people together first, then discussing innovation throughout the biotech industry. Fortunately, a broad array of topics affecting the industry will be discussed during the February 26 – 27 event in Raleigh.

Dr. William Roper, CEO UNC Health Care and Dean of the Medical School at UNC, is committed to growing the best health care system in North Carolina. His video discusses the need to understand that innovation and transformation require putting into practice the breakthroughs our biotech leaders deliver. Dr. Roper sees this conference as an outstanding opportunity to discuss the entire spectrum of healthcare – where researchers, biomedical developers, payers and providers in the healthcare ecosystem transform the industry.

One overarching theme: Amazing speakers.

Each of the three co-Chairs can’t speak highly enough about the quality and stratum of the speakers at this year’s event. Don’t miss:

  1. I didn't get a chance to say how much I enjoyed the way you things. I've been to too many events where the chair is either an unthinking under the impression that everyone in the room is there to see them. You fell into neither of these traps and the event was all the better for it.
