BusinessRadioX® Opens in Wilmington, NC

Helping Businesses Get their Stories out to the World

Wilmington, NC – December 10, 2013 – Businesses in Wilmington just got a new friend. A. Revell Communications, a Wilmington, NC-based communications consulting firm, has opened the first Business RadioX studio outside of the company’s five Atlanta founding studios. Located in Historic Downtown Wilmington at 228 North Front Street, the new radio station is pro-business, working to help local companies take up the mic and tell the world about their successes.

“Wilmington businesses need a way to help tell their stories,” said Ann Revell-Pechar, founder of A.Revell Communications and owner of the studio. “We established the studio here because Wilmington has a great foothold for business, but not enough people know what’s happening and just how strong we are. Our goal is to promote the great work being done here, and establish another opportunity for business owners to make meaningful connections.”

Charged with media relations for CED Tech Venture Conference 2013 in Raleigh in September, Revell-Pechar had BusinessRadioX® bring Radio In My Booth to the conference. The response was so positive that she soon began talks to open her own studio to serve the North Carolina business community.

Revell-Pechar will be hosting two house shows - Wilmington Business Radio and Bridges to Business. Wilmington Business Radio, airing Thursdays at 3:30pm EST, gives voice to the most interesting thought leaders in the Wilmington, North Carolina business community. Each episode appeals to the curious with interviews featuring out-of-the-ordinary guests.

The first episode of Wilmington Business Radio aired on Friday, December 6, 2013. The show featured Tom Pechar of Synergy HomeCare of Wilmington, and from OmniStar Financial, Phil Clark and Julie Lancaster. The episode is available as a podcast and can be downloaded from iTunes or the Wilmington Business Radio website.

Bridges to Business, airing Fridays at 3:30pm EST, features interviews with fascinating people who are helping North Carolina grow and prosper – no matter which of the more than 12,700 bridges they crossed to get here.

"Ann brings incredible drive and passion to our business, and this studio is an excellent first step in our national expansion," said Lee Kantor, founder of BusinessRadioX®.

Revell-Pechar expects to open another studio in the Raleigh-Durham area in 2014, but opted to introduce the long-form, interview-based concept in Wilmington first.
