I am pleased to announce that Miriam Wilson has been promoted to Vice President of CED. Miriam joined us in August 2010 as Development Director, responsible for the organization’s fundraising, memberships and sponsorships. Since then, she has formed strong relationships with those in our community, and recently filled in as Acting President during my sabbatical.
Miriam will retain her current responsibilities, and take on new duties related to CED’s strategic plan. These include oversight for new technology, expanded financial support, and enhanced outreach.
Miriam came to CED after serving as Resource Network Manager for the SC Launch program with SCRA, a South Carolina-based organization that helps early stage companies commercialize their technology. In addition to her non-profit experience, Miriam was the Education Division manager for a venture backed start-up and earlier in her career served as a financial analyst for a division of W.R. Grace. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for SEBIO.
