Taking the Check from Richard Branson

What’s on your company’s pre-exit bucket list?

If getting a big check from Richard Branson might make that top-ten list, you might want to learn a lesson or two from one of your peers who did it.

Ginger Krieg Dosier, CEO of bioMASON, will be spending her lunch hour on Wednesday helping other Triangle area entrepreneurs learn her secrets of success. During “How I Won $680,000 - and What You Can Learn about International Pitch Competitions,” Ginger will share those lessons she learned, while assuring ample opportunity to ask questions specific to other entrepreneurs’ situations.

Of course, she started with a really, really interesting concept. But as the Postcode Lottery Green Challenge event chairman Richard Branson stated, “… a good idea’s one thing – without the right structure in place, it’s not getting out of the gate.”  And it’s that structure that’s going to feel the biggest impact by that $680,000 check.

She didn’t start by winning the Postcode Lottery – and has no plans to stop with this challenge win, either. bioMASON has been covered everywhere from O! to Builder Magazine and whether she’s facing a journalist or a panel during competition, she has become adept at finding the right ways to present her concepts. She’s learned to tell the story so that her audience is compelled to react.

So entrepreneur, cancel your lunch plans Wednesday and come down to the American Underground to learn a lesson or two from your peer. Maybe some of it will run off on you.
