Tech Executive Kevin Fitzgerald Joins to Drive Scale as Netsertive Crosses 100 Employees
MORRISVILLE, N.C., July
16, 2013 – Netsertive announced today that it has
added another experienced executive to its leadership team. With a strong
history of helping to scale technology companies, early-stage tech veteran
Kevin Fitzgerald joins the company as senior vice president, responsible for
driving growth and performance of the inside sales and client services teams.
The company also announced it has grown to more than 100 employees, up from just six in the fall of 2010 when it received its first venture capital funding. Netsertive has rapidly expanded to bring its digital channel-marketing platform to vertical segments that have been underserved even as Internet advertising capabilities have grown. The company focuses on segments where it can deliver high-performance locally targeted online campaigns alongside its innovative Digital Co-Op system, which combines product brands with independent channel partners in cooperative, automated ad campaigns across hundreds of local markets.
Fitzgerald, who has more than 20 years of experience, joins Netsertive from publicly held sales effectiveness software company PROS, where he was responsible for Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) channel development, sales and client services. He previously served as senior vice president, sales and business development, at email marketing firm iContact, building and leading a 70-person team in sales and account management. He held similar roles of increasing responsibility at other early-stage tech companies ChannelAdvisor and Relativity Technologies after beginning his career with IBM. Fitzgerald earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Pace University and an MBA from Duke University.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have Kevin join our team to help us grow, delight our clients, and scale and develop our teams. His prior experiences of helping high-growth companies scale without sacrificing quality and client care are exactly what we were looking for in creating this role,” said Netsertive CEO Brendan Morrissey.
According to BIA/Kelsey, more than 90 percent of consumers research online prior to buying locally, and U.S. local ad spending will exceed $150 billion by 2016. A Borrell Associates study shows that brands are starting to move their $22 billion in cooperative partner marketing funds from traditional to digital media channels, and that local businesses fail to redeem or appropriately use $1 billion or more of that co-op funding.
“Netsertive is well positioned at the beginning of a massively expanding market,” continued Morrissey, “driven by the convergence of growing local online advertising and brands shifting emphasis from traditional to digital media for their channel support. We are now scaling the company to help this ecosystem get more from their online and channel-marketing investments by providing them technology backed with a world-class team.”
