Secure Enterprise Computing Acquired by Agio

CED Member Secure Enterprise Computing, an industry recognized leader, providing information security services and consulting expertise, has been acquired by Agio Technology. Randall Bennett and Chris Harper, co-founders of Secure Enterprise Computing, will remain with Agio as Managing Directors.

Secure Enterprise Computing, headquartered in Raleigh, NC, currently provides services across three major areas: Security Risk Assessments to help clients manage risk, meet compliance requirements and maximize operational efficiency; Security Consulting with a focus on technical and business needs including PCI compliance, security event management and strategic planning; and Security Products & Programs from very specific penetration tests to comprehensive compliance programs.

In making the announcement, Bart R. McDonough, Founder and CEO of Agio Technology, said, “We are seeing a dramatic increase in the number of high profile data security breaches, and a corresponding increase of concern on the part of our clients. Add to this the growing demands of regulators and institutional investors, and the need for enhancing security becomes paramount. Acquiring the tremendous capabilities and staff at Secure Enterprise Computing enables Agio to enhance the security of our current services and improve responsiveness to our clients – reinforcing our proactive, rather than reactive, approach to service.”

Joining McDonough at the announcement, Randall Bennett added, “We are beyond excited at becoming an integral part of such a dynamic organization. The ability to now offer our clients fully-integrated security solutions across the broad spectrum of Agio services is a real game-changer; especially as the diversity and intensity of security challenges grow and clients seek integrated, single-point-of-contact providers. Agio is now clearly the provider of choice for those clients, and we are thrilled to be a part of the team.”
