CED Member Digitalsmiths announced two large partnership deals today.
Digitalsmiths will expand its relationship with Time Warner Cable, which will integrate Digitalsmiths' Seamless Discovery Technology into search and recommendations on Time Warner Cable's platform. This technology will enable Time Warner Cable subscribers to access video entertainment.
"We are committed to providing our subscribers new and improved ways to discover content, and our partnership with Digitalsmiths will help us create better experiences for our customers," said Mike Angus, senior vice president and general manager, video at Time Warner Cable, in a statement.
Digitalsmiths also announced that i.TV has selected Seamless Discovery to serve as its primary search and recommendations solution on i.TV applications. i.TV is the maker of the most popular TV guide application for iPhone and iPad. The company also runs several social TV and "second-screen" experiences for household brands.
“We are excited to partner with Digitalsmiths to bring the industry’s most accurate and relevant personalized search results and recommendations to our users,” said i.TV CEO Brad Pelo, in a statement. “As the mountain of content available to consumers continues to grow, Digitalsmiths’ Seamless Discovery ensures the millions of consumers who use i.TV and the other platforms we power will always be able to easily find TV shows and movies they’ll enjoy.”
Digitalsmiths is on-site at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this week, demonstrating their product line and discussing future implementations of their technology.
