Raleigh Startup Wins Bid to Design Website for Democratic Convention

Raleigh-based Business Empire Consulting, a CED member and Venture Mentoring Service company, beat out 11 competing bids for the job of designing and hosting the new website for the Democratic National Convention, which will take place in Charlotte in September.

The three co-founders, CEO Bryan Young, CIO Matt Laster, and CMO Brandon Blair, started Business Empire Consulting at the end of 2009 while enrolled at N.C. State University. Though they have won contracts larger than this $70,000 contract, the prominence of this website is wonderful news for the 28-month-old company and its founders.

A great article was published by the News & Observer yesterday. You may read about this big win for Business Empire Consulting at their website.
