A Triangle Business Journal article today announced that CED Member Xanofi, a spin out from NC State University, secured a multimillion-dollar contract with an unnamed U.S. filter manufacturer.
CEO Miles Wright did not reveal the total value of the contract or the name of the manufacturer, however, he did say that the contract will enable Xanofi to move its five employees into a new, 12,000-square-foot building near the State Fairgrounds that has five times more lab space as their current location. Xanofi will also begin to recruit a sales force, customer service representatives and a chief financial officer.
Xanofi has been in business for a bit more than a year, and is a great example of the growing nanotechnology sector in North Carolina.
