American Tobacco Campus to host Nanotech Conference

On April 4-5, 2012, a coalition of nanotechnology companies, with their employees, investors, and executives, will meet at the American Tobacco Campus in Durham for the Nanotech Commercialization Conference. The event will bring together more than 40 nanotechnology companies based in North Carolina and key academic researchers from Duke, UNC-CH, NC State, and Wake Forest.

According to John Hardin, the executive director of the office of science & technology in the North Carolina department of commerce, the conference "will both highlight North Carolina's pioneering role and help participants turn emerging nanotechnologies into skilled, high-wage jobs."

Partners in the event include the NanoBusiness Commercialization Association, COIN, and the North Carolina Department of Commerce.
