Inlet Technologies, a Raleigh-based start-up working to redefine the video experience, is teaming up with Cisco Systems. On February 4, Cisco announced its intent to acquire Inlet Technologies for roughly $95 million. Inlet provides a technology that allows the insertion of ads into live video on the web.
Inlet Technologies, an active CED member since 2003, participated in CED's FastTrac® program in 2004, presented at the Venture conference in 2005 and 2008, and was selected to be part of the inaugural class of NC Companies to Watch 2010.
Founded in 2003, Inlet currently employs 65 people, most of whom are set to remain with Cisco at its RTP campus.
