NC IDEA, a local non-profit that provides financing for high-growth tech companies, has awarded $200,000 in grants to five NC startups. NC IDEA is dedicated to helping innovative companies succeed through grant funding, advising, and mentorship.
The five startups that received funding are:
- HEALTHeME: Durham, NC - (www.myhealtheme.com)
- PowerChalk: Cary, NC - (www.powerchalk.com)
- RemedEase: Durham, NC
- Scion NeuroStim: Raleigh, NC
- Spring Metrics: Durham, NC (www.springmetrics.com)
Two of these companies, HEALTHeME and Spring Metrics, are Launchbox Digital portfolio companies, and are showcasing their innovations to an audience of investors today at Demo Day.
Founded in 2006, NC IDEA has financed a total of 52 NC companies with $1.9M. NC IDEA offers another wave of grant opportunities in mid-February for North Carolina based companies. NC IDEA is an active CED member and frequently contributes expertise and financial support to CED programs and initiatives.
