Campbell Alliance Acquired by inVentiv Health

Campbell Alliance, a Raleigh-based management consulting firm, announced that they are joining forces with inVentiv Health. The deal coincides with another acquisition by inVentiv; they recently purchased a pharmaceutical services company, i3.
Although inVentiv Health is based in New Jersey, Campbell Alliance will continue to operate in Raleigh as an independent division. John and Ann Campbell remain in their leadership roles as CEO and President respectively.
Campbell Alliance consults some of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, including the Triangle’s GlaxoSmithKline. Although Campbell Alliance has clients globally, this strategic move provides the depth to continue expanding their reach.
Founded in 1997, Campbell Alliance employs over 250 individuals, 1/3 of which are in Raleigh. Campbell even hinted that this move will directly result in an increase in employees, once the transaction is processed, although it’s unclear how many and where they will reside. (newsandobserver.com)
John and Ann Campbell are both active in the CED community; John spoke at CED’s Biotech Conference in 2002 and 2009. Campbell Alliance is also sponsoring CED’s upcoming Biotech/Life Science Conference in February.
