Local Biz News: The Special Event Company & Dr. Holly Latty-Man

We are happy to share updates on two CED members, The Special Event Company and Holly Latty-Mann, who both received recognition for their respective successes.

The Special Event Company is an RTP-based strategic event and meeting management company. They recently announced their selection as winner of the International Special Event Society's (ISES) ESPRIT Award for Best Corporate Event, Budget $75,000 - $200,000. The event for which they were recognized occurred at the Pinehurst Resort for 250 people over a two day period. It was comprised of one large general session and several breakout sessions, and culminated with a recognition celebration for all attendees and dignitaries. We are pleased to have this go-getter company as a new CED member, and are looking forward to helping them continue to start something in the RTP.

Dr. Holly Latty-Mann is CEO and co-founder of The Leadership Trust, an organization dedicated to personalized leadership and self-awareness development and training.  She was recently recognized among the Triangle region's most dynamic and successful professional women at the 13th annual Women in Business Awards (the awards were presented by the Triangle Business Journal). Many congratulations to her for her successes, and for being a great role model for entrepreneurial minded women in the RTP! We are proud to have her and her company as members of CED.
