According to a recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Harbert Venture Partners, a large venture capital firm focused on life science investments in the Southeast, is more than halfway to completing fundraising for a new $125 million fund.
This will be the firm's third fund. With its first two funds (closed in 2005 and 2009), Harbert invested more than $150 million in 24 early stage life science and technology companies, including Triangle-based CED Members Aldagen and nContact.
