Congratulations to the Triangle Tree Challenge Winners!

The Triangle Tree Challenge results were officially announced last night on FOX 50. We here at CED did not win, but we received a ton of support from CED members and supporters. Thank you for your vote, and we hope that you were able to check out our tree in person outside of DPAC.

The Challenge netted more than 20,000 votes online and via text message. The TriangleTreeChallenge.com website racked up more than a quarter million views.

The nonprofits collecting prizes are:

* Taking the $1,000 third prize was The Ivy Community Service Foundation.
* Taking the $2,500 second prize was The Coalition to Unchain Dogs.
* Taking the $5,000 first prize was Safe Haven for Cats.

* The Wool E. Bull Prime Cut Award went to The Salvation Army of Wake County.
* The FOX 50 Community First Award went to Trosa.
* The DPAC Community Star Award went to The Healing Place.

The three Celebrity Choice Awards went to:

* The Durham Economic Resource Center
* The Scrap Exchange
* Trips for Kids

From all of us here at CED, to all of our supporters, we wish you a happy holiday season, and we'll see you in the New Year! Please consider a tax-deductible donation to further demonstrate your support for the entrepreneurial community in the Research Triangle and North Carolina.
