3DMedia Creates Technology for 3D-Enabled Cameras

3DMedia, based in Durham, is working with Olympus to provide 3D capabilities for cameras. 3DMedia’s ViewFusion technology is the driver behind this innovate concept in the digital space. This technology allows the end user to capture and create 3D content directly on their camera; the images are also viewable with 3D HDTV’s using an HDMI cable. This product gives the end user the power to create stunning 3D images of just about anything. Up until this point, providing end users with the ability to generate their own 3D content was the biggest obstacle to consumer adoption. 3DMedia’s ViewFusion technology is compatible with a range of consumer products beyond the camera; mobile phones, HDTV’s, and PC’s can use this technology as well.

3DMedia is showcasing this technology at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas from January 6-9.
